Financial Protection
Active Earth Travel Ltd is a member of the Travel Trust Association (TTA), which means that your funds are 100% financially protected; this is done in two stages:

•	We operate a trust account. This is an independent bank account to which an independent third party has been appointed Trustee. Funds are placed into this account for each consumers total financial protection.

•	The TTA Travel Protection Plan is a unique fidelity coverage that covers all clients booking with TTA members up to £11,000 per passenger, should your funds not be in the Trust Account for any reason.

Passport and Visa Requirements
Before travelling you must possess a passport which is valid for at least three months after the end date of your trip. You also need to obtain whatever visas are necessary to enter or transit any country visited as part of your trip. We will outline the current requirements in your booking information, however these are subject to change; therefore customers are advised to check with the appropriate Embassy, Consulate or British Foreign Office for the exact passport and visa requirements before travelling.

Health Requirements
Possession of adequate medical insurance is a booking condition for all trips, plus obtaining a European Health Insurance Card, EHIC is highly advisable. Vaccinations are required for some locations and we will outline the current requirements in your booking information. However, inoculation regulations and recommended precautions can change at short notice and customers should always seek advice from their GP, practice nurse or travel health clinic at least eight weeks before travelling.

Travel Insurance
All customers are required to obtain travel insurance against medical and personal accident risks as a condition of booking. This must be for all activities undertaken and include repatriation costs, air ambulance and helicopter rescue services and cancellation and curtailment. We can recommend a suitable policy.

Accommodation and Catering
Active Earth products are not about staying in luxury hotels with five star facilities. We use a range of accommodation options depending on your preference and the location, wherever possible we choose accommodation which reflects the local area. In all cases the choices will be discussed with you and the level of facilities and degree of comfort will be clearly indicated in your booking information. Catering choices will also vary according to your location and your preference. The type of service and which meals are included in your trip or programme will be clearly stated in your booking information.

Risks and Itineraries
Your safety is our first priority, however the activities we offer all involve risks, these risks can be minimised by good skill and judgement but cannot be eradicated. Customers placing bookings should appreciate and accept the risks involved in adventure activities.

Active Earth Travel will intend to stick to the programme that has been agreed with you. However, we aim to provide a highly personalised service that does not restrict you unnecessarily, and we will therefore be happy to incorporate changes around your needs and preferences where possible. Equally it is important to understand that a degree of on-tour flexibility may by required on all aspects of your holiday to allow for bad weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
